Swindon Radio Controlled Model Car Club has been established for over 21 years providing a great social atmosphere and exciting racing.  We race indoors during the winter and outdoors at our purpose built track during the summer.  We have club and open championships for 1/10th electric touring cars, Tamiya M chassis and Mardave Caterhams indoors; with 1/10th electric off road, 1/8th nitro rallycross and 1/8th nitro truggies outdoors.  More details of the tracks and classes raced can be found in the navigation bar on the left.

 Although we host regional, national & 2 day events throughout the year, our purpose is to provide the complete novice as well as the more experienced racers opportunity to use their cars to the fullest potential in the safest possible way.  Racing takes place every Sunday except bank holidays and consists of timed rounds of qualifying races which then give you your grid position in your final.  Each final winner takes home a bar of chocolate, the points for each week are added to the season club championship.  We also run a shorter open championship through the season for those who cannot commit to racing with us each week.

 We all know how intimidating starting at a new club can be so at SRCMCC we do everything we can to put your mind at ease and make you feel welcome.  During 2008 & 2009 we had more than two new members on average per month, so relax, even as a complete novice you won’t be alone!

 Our information sheet gives you a view about racing and is available under club info, so if you have a car stuck in the back of the cupboard or always wanted to be a racing driver then come down and see us one Sunday…..but be warned, it is addictive!

We race indoors on a carpet floor at Bradon Forest School in Purton, Near Swindon, Wiltshire.
